Distinguished Logistics Practitioner Award 
 


This honor is awarded to the practitioner that has made significant and outstanding contributions to the Dallas/Fort Worth area and the logistics profession. This honor takes into consideration the candidates contributions to the logistics discipline, research,  education and service to the community. This candidate is 
recognized as a leader in the logistics profession in the DFW Metroplex.   Special considerations are given to 
his or her lifelong contribution to the logistics profession.
 

Who is Eligible:

All Dallas/Fort Worth area individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of logistics are eligible for the LPA award.  This includes industrial personnel with responsibilities in a functional area of logistics or distribution, warehouse personnel, carrier personnel, educators-anyone who has made a significant contribution to the advancement of logistics management. For example, a person could be nominated for contributions or innovations involving technology, for 
contributions in educating others in the concept of logistics, or for increasing the awareness of the general business community of logistics management's role in the overall economy.

Please note:
Not eligible for consideration are the current Dallas / Fort Worth Roundtable executive board members (President, President Elect, Immediate Past President, VP Programs, Secretary, Treasurer, VP Education, VP Business Outreach, VP Technology) and the current years Award Selection Committee.

Nominator's Responsibilities:

As a nominator, you are responsible for demonstrating that your nominee deserves this award. You must provide evidence that your nominee has made a significant contribution to the profession in the Dallas / Fort Worth area, and the contribution exceeds the level of expectation of the individual's day-to-day job performance.

To receive consideration for the 2007 Distinguished Logistics Practitioner Award, the Dallas / Fort Worth Roundtable must receive the nomination recommendation and supporting data for the candidate no later than February 28th of that year.   Nominations should be e-mailed to:

Information Required:

The nominator is required to provide a detailed résumé of the candidate's achievements and contributions. The résumé may be up to, but no more than, five (5) pages in length. It should describe specific aspects of your nominee's business and professional experience, and provide specific examples of the nominee's:

* Distinguished record of contribution to the discipline of logistics
* Contribution above the normal expectations of the job
* Recognition as a leader in logistics
* Recognition as an innovator in logistics
* Commitment to education of the logistics profession (both orally and written)

The nominator can enlist members of the profession who can support and/or expand upon the nominee's qualification by including his or her supportive quotes, or illustrative sentences/paragraphs, of the candidate. Please keep in mind all information cannot exceed five (5) pages in total length.

Please include the following information for both the candidate and the person submitting the nomination:

- award for which the candidate should be considered 
- candidates name, title, company, address, phone, e-mail address
- submitter's name, title, company, address, phone, e-mail address
