Douglas Chaney
President
Dallas/Fort Worth Roundtable CSCMP

Another year is coming to a close for the DFW Roundtable CSCMP and I am most pleased with the results. We had many excellent presentations, started having lunch meetings at LaCima, in addition to dinner meetings and we have money available for scholarships for students.

Please note the UNT will host the

Ninth Annual Texas Logistics Executive Forum Center for Logistics Education and Research,
May 21-22, 2009
Dallas Marriott Las Colinas
223 W. Las Colinas Blvd
Irving, TX 75039
972/831-0000

Our last speaker, Dick Metzler from Greatwide Logistics, had an excellent presentation on the effects of the economic situation on the trucking industry. We learned that many companies are being pro-active and altering their courses of action in it is paying out for them. As leaders in the supply chain arena, we have the responsibility to adapt to our changing business environments along with proactively driving out costs while improving supply chain performance simultaneously. Dick explained this well.

I am most pleased to announce the winners of the 2009 Annual Recognition Awards for DFW CSCMP:
